Measuring Blood Glucose with the  GlucoSmart ® Plus  System
Easy two step Measurement

1. Insert the blood glucose test strip
2. hold the test strip at the side of the blood bowl

Calibration
 When switched on, the code number appears on the upper left side of the display.
The code number has to match with the code number on the strip vial.
If the numbers are different, the code can be changed easily with the buttons.
If the numbers are different, press the On/Off-button for 2 seconds (code starts flashing) and change the code with the side buttons.

 

Intake of the blood probe
Insert a test strip. Hold a drop of blood at the marked capillary opening at the side of the test strip. The blood drop will be absorbed automatically. The disposal of a sufficient quantity of blood can be controlled visually by the control-window of the test strip. The right, big window must be filled with blood. The acoustic signal indicates, that the measurement cycle has started.

 

 

Measurement Cycle
After the start of the measurement cycle, a countdown of 10 seconds is shown on the display.
The result of the blood glucose test appears after the countdown.

  Memory
The measurement result and the event is automatically saved by the GlucoSmart ®Plus Meter. The last 250 results are stored together with time, date, and event in the memory. By pressing the side buttons, you can inform yourself about the average blood glucose measurement result, the measurement results, measurement events and dates.
